Friday October 1st 2021

2:00 - 4:00 pm.  Orchid entries will be accepted for the AOS judging. 

The nursery will be closed to the public 
(except for the individuals entering an orchid into the show). 
    

Saturday October 2nd 2021

9:00 am  Sign ups for Orchid plant registration

for AOS judging begins. 760 Coffee opens and

will be serving organic Coffees, cappuccino,

Lattes, and much More.  

 

Festival Officially Opens at 10 am

 

Greenhouse  self guided tours begin at 10:00 am.  Each station will have a knowledgeable guide that will answer questions you may have making for a delightful trip through the orchid growing grounds. See first hand thousands of gorgeous orchid blooms. Learn how these gems of the flower world are produced, grown, and shipped throughout the world.  Witness the orchids in the bottle!  Smell the chocolate orchids.  Enjoy the day!

10: 00 am  Self guided greenhouse tours begin

Registration closes for Orchid Judging. 

Art Show opens presented by Chaparral Artists. They offer children's painting program with a keep sake at no charge. 

10:05 am  American Orchid Society  Ribbon Judging Begins. Three certified AOS judges will be judging  entries. Presented by the Riverside and San Bernardino County Orchid Society

10:30 am The Orchid Society of Arizona will be presenting a class on Phalaenopsis the Pacific Western Bank Learning Center.  This is a hands on demonstration. Participants will learn about orchids, and will transplant a blooming Orchid into a six-inch pot. There is a $20.00 charge for the class, which includes a blooming orchid for you to bring home. Proceeds go to the Arizona Orchid Society’s education fund. Class size is limited, Sign Up here. 

10:30 am The Official return of the very  Shari Baby Orchid Beer brewed by The Joshua Tree Brewing Company.  The Shari Baby Beer comes in a commemorative 25th anniversary glass for $20.00 . JT Brewing has been very generous partner to the Orchid Festival. Must be over 21 to purchase.

 

10:40- First performance of the Spaghetti Wrestlers.  

 

10:45 am  Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary Wine Tasting opens.  Select four different wines from our selection of seven for a $10.00 cover charge.  You can also purchase your favorite wine by the glass for $15 which includes a commemorative 25th Orchid Festival anniversary wine glass.

11:15 am  The Boys and Girls club of the High Desert and the Armed services YMCA will be chicken taco plates, hamburgers with all the fixings, hot dogs, chips and cold drinks available for purchase. At the Rotary Pavilion.

 

11:20 am  A new addition to the the festival this year is Lovin' Smoke by Bruce's Place.  They will be serving pulled pork sliders, BBQ Ribs, and more. The best reputation for smoke meats in the Morongo Basin.      

12:00 pm  The Orchid Arrangement Class- Create and build your own orchid planter to take and enjoy at home. Your $30 fee includes two blooming orchids, foliage accent pieces and a decorative ceramic container.  Growing and care instructions will be discussed for your new planter.  Proceeds benefit the Riverside/ San Bernardino County Orchid Society programs.  Click here to sign up.

1:00 pm The beat goes on with the Spaghetti Wrestler.

 

1:30 pm The Oncidium intergenric class is presented by the Orchid Society of Arizona (OSA). This is a hands on demonstration. Participants will learn about these exotic orchids, and will transplant a blooming exotic Orchid into a six-inch pot. There is a $25.00 charge for the class, which includes a blooming orchid for you to bring home.  Class size is limited, Sign Up here 

 

3:00 pm  The Orchid Class- Cultivation and Care of Phalaenopsis Orchids, crowned the most popular orchid in the world. You will be learning about the care and cultivation of orchids.  You will be transplanting a blooming Phalaenopsis into a six-inch pot.  The orchid is for you to take home and enjoy.  There is a $20.00 charge for the class.  Proceeds benefit Arizona Orchid Society education fund. 2:00- 4:00 pm  Encore performance by Spaghetti Wrestler.

5:00 pm  The Festival closes for the day.

Sunday October 3rd 2021

10:00 am  Festival Opens 

Greenhouse doors open, The Chaparral Artists & Orchid Show open.  The first 50 guests entering the Festival on Sunday will receive a FREE beautiful blooming orchid stem.

10:30 am The Orchid Society of Arizona will be presenting a class on Phalaenopsis the Pacific Western Bank Learning Center.  This is a hands on demonstration. 10:35 am  Yucca Valley Sunset Rotary Wine Garden opens.  Do a 4 wine tasting from Rotary's selection of 7 fine wines. You can purchase your favorite wine with a commemorative 25th Festival wine glass.  

10:40 am  The Yucca Valley High School Jazz Band’s opening performance.

11:00 am  Lunch begins.  The Boys and Girls club of the High Desert and the Armed services YMCA will be serving Carne Asada plates, hamburgers with all the fixens, hot dogs, chips and cold drinks available for purchase.

 

11:15 am  Lovin' Smoke will be serving pulled pork sliders, BBQ Ribs, and more. 

12:00 pm  Adult Orchid Arrangement Class- Create and build your own orchid planter to take and enjoy at home. Your $30 fee includes not only two blooming orchids and a decorative container, but also growing and care instructions for your new planter.  Proceeds benefit the Riverside/ San Bernardino education fund.  Click here to sign up.

 

12:30 pm  Second Performance of the Yucca Valley High School Jazz Band.
