Orchid Classes

For Children ages 6-15

Saturday, Oct. 3rd at 10:15 am

Kids will learn about orchids and their basic cultivation while constructing a miniature greenhouse out of a one-gallon container. Each participant should bring a clean one-gallon plastic milk container. The class is free and children who participate will receive a free 3" orchid. Space is limited so sign up now.

For Adults

Sunday, Oct. 4th at 11:15 am & 1:15 pm

The kids don't get all the fun. In this hour long, hands on class, you will transplant a blooming 4" Dendrobium or Oncidium orchid into a 6" container. You will learn more about the cultivation of orchids and what to expect from your orchid at home. There is a $12.00 fee for the class, which includes a blooming orchid for you to take home (a $25 Value). Proceeds go towards the Orchid Society of Arizona Education Fund. Space is limited to the first 30 participants, so sign up now to reserve your place.
